Investing in the future with Fulbright Iceland!

Want to be a part of building bridges and increasing mutual understanding, sharing knowledge, and exchanging ideas to make our world a better place? The Fulbright Commission is now accepting donations to support our work to foster collaboration between Icelandic and U.S. scholars, scientists, students, and artists!

Support for Fulbright Iceland is an investment in our future!

Donors in Iceland are eligible for tax discounts according to a law passed earlier this year. We submit all the necessary information to the tax authorities to ensure you receive your tax break. For our friends who pay taxes in the U.S., your donations are tax deductible through our charitable fund through the Institute of International Education (IIE).

All funds that come from donations will be used for grants and grant related costs only and we will inform donors of how their contributions were used. A full accounting will be given in our annual report and in our accounts, which are audited by the State Auditor in Iceland. Donors will be recognized in our annual report.

Icelandic taxpayers:

We have a very easy option for those who would like to support us once a year or monthly and we submit all necessary information to the tax authorities to ensure you receive your tax break. This link will take you to our page, where you can donate with an easy click.

For those who are interested in funding full grants, making other large donations, or those would like to include Fulbright Iceland in estate planning, we also work with you to make this easy and in line with your wishes. Please contact the Fulbright Iceland Executive Director at [email protected].

U.S. taxpayers:

If you are based in the United States, the simplest way to make a tax-deductible donation is through our charitable fund, which is housed at the Institute for International Education (IIE). Click here to make a donation.

U.S.-based individuals or companies that wish to fund full grants or make other large donations, or individuals who would like to include Fulbright Iceland in estate planning, are asked to contact our Executive Director at [email protected].
