Study in Iceland!
There are various Fulbright opportunities for U.S. students to study at Icelandic universities or to do independent or PhD research in Iceland. For the 2025-2026 award cycle, Fulbright Iceland offers the following grants for U.S. student applicants:
- Fulbright-National Science Foundation Arctic Research Grant for PhD students and students with a completed master’s in all social and natural science fields.
- Fulbright-Icelandic Ministry of Culture Award to learn modern Icelandic at the University of Iceland.
- Open Study/Research Award to study in a degree program at an Icelandic university or engage in independent study/research or PhD research.
