America250 Gospel Celebration

In March, Fulbright Iceland brought the spirit of gospel music to Iceland as part of the America250 and Fulbright 80 celebrations. Fulbright Specialist David Anderson gave a presentation on the history and influence of gospel music at the University of Iceland, held in cooperation with the School of Education. The main event was a gospel music celebration at Vídalínskirkja Church, led by David and featuring the Vídalínskirkja Gospel Choir, along with students from the Iceland University of the Arts. The church was packed and the evening was full of energy and joy, bringing together Americans and Icelanders in a spirit of love and shared purpose.
