FAI IV cohort at the final meeting in Alaska

FAI IV came to a successful conclusion in April, with the final meeting taking place in Anchorage in connection with the Arctic Encounters conference. Find the final policy recommendations here. Fulbright Iceland scholars also completed their individual research projects: Anna Karlsdóttir on community resilience and tourism development in the Arctic; Rachael Lorna Johnstone on just transitions in the Arctic, with an emphasis on Indigenous rights and governance frameworks; and Sigrún Sigurðardóttir on trauma, stress, and suicide prevention in Arctic communities.

The ED had the opportunity to visit University of Alaska campuses in Juneau, Fairbanks and Anchorage, where Arctic scholarship and cooperation between Iceland and Alaska were on the agenda.
