Icelandic scholars can now apply for 3-12 month research stays in the U.S. in the academic year 2025-2026. Application deadline is October 14, 2024. Prospective applicants can contact [email protected]s for further information or visit our website for award and application details.
Icelandic university faculties can apply for a U.S. Fulbright scholar to teach in a specific field or on a specific topic for one semester. Request for Scholar application deadline to receive a U.S. scholar in the 2026-2027 academic year is October 14, 2024. Icelandic institutions can also apply to receive a Specialist for two to six weeks through the Fulbright Specialist Program or request a visit from a Fulbright Scholar to another European country for up to a week through the Inter-Country Travel Program.
